O que meus olhos (não) viram, o que viveu minha mente: memória e autobiografia em José Rodrigues de Paiva
Abstract
Embora haja no Brasil uma série de poetas cuja ascendência seja de imigrantes das mais variadas origens, são raríssimos aqueles que revelam ser descendentes de portugueses e cantam Portugal como raiz. José Rodrigues de Paiva é uma dessas exceções. Escolhendo ora o tom épico ora o lírico, o poeta embebe essa memória de uma outra: a dos próprios poetas portugueses (Camões, Pessoa, D. Dinis, etc.) aos quais se juntam as vozes de autores brasileiros, além das de escritores norte-americanos, italianos, argentinos, franceses. É desse resgate das origens que pretende tratar o presente artigo.
