Fabulosa Palmares: um lugar imaginário na ficção de Jayme Griz e Hermilo Borba Filho

Abstract

Este ensaio tem o objetivo de inscrever mais um espaço ficcional no vasto catálogo de lugares imaginários proposto por Alberto Manguel e Gianni Guadalupi (1980). Trata-se, a partir da leitura dos contos de Jayme Griz, nos livros O lobishomem da porteira velha e O cara de fogo, e das novelas de Hermilo Borba Filho, nos volumes O general está pintando, Sete dias a cavalo e As meninas do sobrado, de registrar a Palmares imaginária que emerge dessa produção literária. Dessa maneira, é possível visualizar um universo fabulativo comum, plasmado nos modos mágico, maravilhoso e fantástico.

José Ronaldo Batista de Luna, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco

Doutorando em Teoria da Literatura no Programa de Pós-Graduação da UFPE; Mestre em Teoria da Literatura no Programa de Pós-Graduação da UFPE; Licenciado em Letras (Língua Portuguesa e Espanhola) pela UFPE. Atualmente é professor de Língua Espanhola no Ensino Básico. Atua principalmente nas seguintes áreas: Ensino de Língua espanhola, Literatura hispano-americana, Literatura fantástica, Didática da língua espanhola e Língua espanhola, Poesia e Literatura brasileira.
