Abstract

This is the report of experience and reflections acquired during the observation and conducting of Theater classes in group 2 of the 8th year A of the Colégio de Aplicação at UFPE, referring to the Supervised Curricular Internship in Theater Teaching 1 and 2 of the Degree in Theater course at UFPE. It builds a perspective by stitching together memories of the author as a ex-student at the same school and reflections on her experience as a theater teacher in training. The text reflects the importance of perceiving theater teaching as a unique pedagogical and methodological path, basing its perception on the concept of teacher performer. In this way, the article brings through its reports the defense of a theater teaching, based on the understanding of a teacher who is also an artist and the role of the artistic language of theater as a way of transgressing crystallized aspects in the teaching and learning process within schools.
