Learning evaluation and social networks: an analysis of the use of Instagram as a pedagogical practice from a mediating evaluation perspective

Social networks are resources that allows multiple forms of communication. In the educational context, their use is necessary, besides of being a way of promoting an environment for the production of collaborative knowledge, they are already part of the daily reality of students. Indeed, this research, of a qualitative nature, and a case study type, aims to investigate the use of Instagram as an educational resource for the promotion of meaningful learning based on a perspective of mediating evaluation. Therefore, a pedagogical action was carried out, conducted by a teacher of the discipline of writing in a class of the 8th year of regular elementary education at a private school in the city of Maceió during the months of July to September of 2022. Data was provided by the observation method, followed by an interview with the teacher who carried out the action. The main results point to the positive use of this social network, which evidenced the students as the center of the learning process, allowing observing a great participation of them in the accomplishment of the activities, in addition to the discussions in the classroom.Downloads
