Presentation and use of tables in mathematics textbooks in the end of primary school

The textbook can be an important resource for teaching statistics in primary school. Teachers use up this pedagogical tool to develop concepts and activities presented in their classes. Thus, it is necessary that this feature be guided by quality to help significantly in the process of teaching and learning. In the present study we analyze how the table is presented and used in four (4) textbooks math in the end of primary school, approved by PNLD 2016. We seek to identify what the books called table and the data presented were real or fictitious. We can point out that in many instances the books appoint a table as a schedule, which involved only mathematical operations. By positive is the presence of activities that have tables and database with real data thus contributing to the construction of a Statistics teaching that makes sense for students and can make reference to the Statistics is present in the world around them.
