Abstract

In this paper we presentaconsideration about a practice performed in the discipline Geography of Brazil, taught in the Geography course of the Federal University of Ceará. We understand that literature can be understood as a human creation capable of broadening our knowledge ofthe histories of/in spaces, through the spatialities and the geographicities that surround the narratives. We call this practice Literary Geography of Brazil, seeking to diversify students' apprehension of the geographic characteristicsof different regionsof the country. Finally, we evaluated the didactic possibilities of this practice based on research conducted with students

Professor Adjunto no Departamento de Geografia da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). Doutor em Geografia - Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP - Rio Claro) e Mestre e Graduado (Licenciatura) em Geografia - Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC).

Thiago Rodrigues Sousa Lima, Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC)

Mestre pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Tem experiência na área de Geociências, com ênfase em Geografia Física, Geomorfologia e Análise Ambiental.
