About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Cartema is a neologism created by Antônio Houaiss (1915–1999) in 1974 to refer to the work of Pernambuco artist Aloísio Magalhães (1927–1982).
-
The word cartema can also be used in the sense of equivalences, or relationships between two or more propositions. It is in this sense that the name was chosen for the journal of PPGAV UFPE–UFPB, by connecting two universities into a new unit.
