FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES UNIVERSITÁRIOS NA ÁREA DE CIÊNCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS NO ÂMBITO DA PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE SERGIPE

Abstract

In Brazil, university professors are trained through postgraduate courses. However, studies indicate that these courses are more aimed at training researchers. Therefore, in this article, we aim to analyze the aspect of teacher training in Postgraduate Programs in the area of Applied Social Sciences offered by the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS). We carried out qualitative research, based on documentary analysis. We identified that the main training strategy has been the Teaching Internship, generally mandatory only for scholarship holders. Therefore, it is necessary to awaken to the urgency of practical, but also theoretical, training initiatives that provide support so that master's and doctoral students can reflect in an informed way on their present and future teaching practices.
