Aquecimento Súbito da Estratosfera (SSW): Uma Revisão das Dinâmicas Atmosféricas e Impactos Climáticos

O fenômeno do Aquecimento Súbito da Estratosfera (SSW) tem se tornado mais frequente ao longo dos anos, porém há poucos estudos dedicados à sua investigação, o que destaca a sua complexidade e impacto nas dinâmicas atmosféricas. Nesta pesquisa, realizou-se uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o fenômeno SSW com o objetivo de investigar os principais fatores desencadeantes e as metodologias utilizadas na sua investigação, contrastando a interação de diversas dinâmicas, como ondas planetárias, ondas de gravidade e ondas de Rossby, que influenciam o vórtice polar estratosférico e a circulação atmosférica. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo de revisão constituiu-se de um levantamento bibliográfico das principais plataformas de periódicos da CAPES, sendo elas "Scopus” e “Web Of Science”. Nos estudos levantados, verificou-se a aplicação metodologia para a identificação dos eventos de SSW, os quais envolvem análise de dados observacionais e modelagem numérica, com critérios específicos baseados em variações de temperatura, vento e pressão estratosférica. O enfraquecimento do vórtice polar estratosférico é um indicador-chave do SSW, caracterizado por mudanças no vento zonal e padrões de circulação anômalos. A compreensão desses eventos é essencial para prever e compreender os impactos do Aquecimento Súbito da Estratosfera no clima global. O estudo destaca a evolução da pesquisa sobre o SSW ao longo dos anos, com um aumento significativo no número de publicações científicas, refletindo avanços tecnológicos e metodológicos na área. A análise dos padrões meteorológicos desencadeantes do SSW e a investigação das principais causas e efeitos desse fenômeno são fundamentais para a compreensão das mudanças climáticas e da interação entre a estratosfera e a troposfera. Por fim, este estudo espera contribuir com o fornecimento de uma base sólida para futuras pesquisas sobre o Aquecimento Súbito da Estratosfera, visando minimizar os desafios existentes e aprimorar o conhecimento sobre esse fenômeno atmosférico complexo.
