Decolonized Horizons
photography, ontologies and the reinvention of spaces
Keywords:

The objective of this work is to document the collective experience of young university students from different programs in a space for leisure, knowledge sharing, and interactions. This initiates collective experiences and native narratives, bringing their own perspectives on belonging, knowledge, and territory. This dialogue between academic knowledge and everyday or traditional knowledge creates an intersection between science and practical experience, blurring the gap between these two worlds. This dialogue highlights the decolonization of spaces, fostering a relationship between identities and urban and natural spaces, and shares how these bodies occupy and also resignify these places. The project was carried out on February 15, 2025, in Piauí, in the cities of Parnaíba and Coqueiro beach, in the municipality of Luís Correia.
