Author Guidelines

The CLIO Journal publishes articles in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The articles can be submitted to evaluative sessions of Dossier, Free Theme Articles (continuously available) and critical reviews which are unprecedented for the area of history. Submissions and processing of articles has no cost for the authors.

As part of the process for submission the authors are obliged to verify their conformity in relation to all of the following items listed. The submissions which do not abide by the norms will not be considered.

The Editorial Commission shall establish its appreciation of the pertinence of the submission proposal in relation to the editorial line of the Journal, as well as its observance of publication norms.

The policy for the evaluation of articles and reviews is founded on the principles of analysis in pairs, specialized in work on articles/ reviews with the “double-blind” system.

The approved articles are forwarded to the authors with the due suggestions and, afterwards, for final revision, even when they are not scheduled for immediate publication. In the latter case the text may still appear in subsequent editions.

 

Article Submission Tutorial

• Visit the Journal pagehttp://www.revista.ufpe.br/revistaclio/index.php/revista/index

• Click Log In. Enter username and password, or sign up if necessary.

• Click New Submission.

 

 

• Select the appropriate section for your article. Read the conditions for submission, and click the checkbox to enable if you agree to that condition.


 

• On the same page, read the Copyright Notice and if you agree, click the checkbox to enable it. You can also make comments to the editor.

• Click Save and continue.


 

 The next step is the manuscript transfer. Click Escolher Arquivo, and then Upload.

• Click Save and Continue.


 

• Step 3 is to fill up the article´s metadata. Fill up all data marked with an asterisk, they are mandatory. The institution, although not marked with an asterisk, it is also mandatory.

• If the article has several authors, use the "Add Author" button to bring up additional fields.

• Enter the title and abstract. And you can fill up also other frames, which, while not binding, are important for indexing.

• Click Save and Continue.

 

 

• Step 4 is the Supplemental Document Transfer. If you have any additional file, Click: Escolher arquivo, then, Upload.

• Then click Save and Continue.

 

 

• Step 5 is the Confirmation of Submission.

• Make sure that the attached file in the Document Summary is correct, and click Finish Submission.

 

 

 • End of Submission! The system will send an automated email confirming submission of your article.
