A “REINVENÇÃO” DA NEGRITUDE A PARTIR DA SERRA DA BARRIGA (AL)
Abstract
O artigo investiga a importância da Serra da Barriga, patrimônio histórico nacional, como referência de identidade para militantes do Movimento Negro Brasileiro. A partir de uma experiência pessoal, o autor descreve aspectos da militância do Movimento Negro Brasileiro, onde se inseriu após leitura de alguns intelectuais negros no início da década de oitenta do século XX. Em seguida tece considerações históricas sobre o Quilombo de Palmares e finaliza com uma rápida descrição da atual Serra da Barriga, lugar de memória para os afro-brasileiros.
