O SOCIÓLOGO, O VIAJANTE E O ROMANCISTA: três visões contemporâneas do Recife
Abstract
Este artigo é um estudo das representações da cidade do Recife e dos seus arredores no século XX, em torno de três épocas diferentes, eatravés de três escritores e três gêneros literários : Luc Durtain, que era homem de letras e viajante nos anos trinta (Vers la ville Kilomètre 3, 1933); o sociólogo Roger Bastide, que viveu muito tempo no Brasil (Brésil terre des contrastes, 1957) ; enfim o romancista contemporâneo Jean-Christophe Rufin (La Salamandre, 2005). A análise quer demostrar os elementos comuns na visão que estes textos dão do Recife, mas também as especificidades ligadas aos gêneros de que tratamos.
