O MOVIMENTO ESTUDANTIL DE 1968 NA CIDADE DO MÉXICO VISTO ATRAVÉS DA FOTOGRAFIA
Abstract
A história do movimento estudantil de 1968 no México tem sido estudada a partir de diferentes ângulos e enfoques nos últimos quarenta anos. Contudo, não se analisa o papel estratégico desempenhado pelas fotografias no desenrolar dos acontecimentos. Neste artigo faz-se uma revisão da cobertura foto-jornalística sobre o 68 no México, e se colocam alguns problemas e questionamentos decorrentes dos diversos interesses políticos e ideológicos que subjazem à proposta fotográfica dos jornais diários e revistas. A cobertura fotográfica dos jornais e revistas no México foi muito ampla e obedeceu, em termos gerais, aos lineamentos ditados pelo regime de partido de Estado que governava o país naqueles anos.
