QUIMERA AMAZÔNICA: ARTE, MECENATO E COLECIONISMO EM BELÉM DO PARÁ, 1890-1910
Abstract
Este artigo analisa a constituição do mercado de arte em Belém do Pará no contexto da chamada belle-époque, entre as décadas de 1890 e 1910. A partir dos debates locais sobre arte e a importância do mecenato estatal, analisamos também o processo de formação das coleções de arte particulares, dos círculos intelectuais da arte, assim como das pinacotecas públicas e dos fundamentos históricos que nortearam o colecionismo paraense da época.
