A ESPOSA-ESPÍRITO NAMBIQUARA
Abstract
Este artigo tem o propósito de dar a conhecer, segundo a crença mítico-religiosa dos Kithãulhu, Halotesu, Sawentesu, Wakalitesu, Niyahlosu, Siwaihsu e Hinkatesu, grupos indígenas Nambiquara do Cerrado, a existência da esposa-espírito, wanintakalosu, e sua relação com o pajé, wanintesu, e sua esposa, a mulher-humana, txusu. Nesta análise foram empregadas a técnica e a metodologia da história oral, com dados coletados entre 2004 e 2007 com os Nambiquara do Cerrado, localizados no Oeste do Estado de Mato Grosso, fronteira com a Bolívia. Na condição de esposa-espírito, as fontes orais revelam a sua importância na sociedade Nambiquara, à medida que é a responsável pelo sucesso da atuação de seu esposo- humano, o pajé, bem como na intermediação do mundo profano com o sobrenatural.
