OS CONCEITOS DE ‘MODO DE PRODUÇÃO’ E DETERMINISMO – REVISITANDO AS DIVERSAS DISCUSSÕES NO ÂMBITO DO MATERIALISMO HISTÓRICO
Abstract
Este artigo tem por objetivo conduzir uma discussão acerca do conceito de ‘Modo de Produção’ ao longo dos vários desenvolvimentos teóricos do Materialismo Histórico, desde as obras de Marx e Engels até alguns dos autores mais recentes. Também se discute, na segunda parte do artigo, algumas das posições teóricas que se referem ao problema do Determinismo na tradição Marxista. Uma comparação entre alguns dos autores já clássicos em relação a esta questão é aqui elaborada, de modo a oferecer uma visão panorâmica sobre as várias alternativas disponíveis para enfrentar o desafio de repensar o Materialismo Histórico em novas bases.
