CONSTRUINDO O ESTADO DA EXCLUSÃO: OS ÍNDIOS BRASILEIROS E A CONSTITUIÇÃO DE 1824.
Abstract
Alguma das questões que atormentaram o Estado português e o brasileiro foi qual olugar do índio na sociedade e qual seu direito de participar plenamente como súdito ou cidadão.Essa era uma temática que exigia particular atenção quando da formação do Estado brasileiro. Otema foi objeto de propostas apresentadas por José Bonifácio de Andrada e Silva e discutido nodecorrer dos trabalhos da Assembleia Constituinte suscitando debates e dúvidas. Neste artigopropusemo-nos a revelar as discussões e as conclusões sobre o tema, assim como analisar asdecisões registradas na Constituição de 1824.Palavras-chave: Estado; Índios; Legislação.Downloads
