O PADRE MANUEL DE NÓBREGA, OS JESUÍTAS E O NASCIMENTO DA CULTURA BARROCA NA SOCIEDADE AÇUCAREIRA (SÉCULO XVI)
Abstract
Neste texto analisamos a intensa relação da Companhia de Jesus com a mentalidadebarroca espanhola, em formação no século XVI, através das cartas do Padre Manuel de Nóbrega ede sua ação junto aos colonos da América açucareira portuguesa. Em busca do imaginário barrocono qual ele e seus irmãos jesuítas estavam imersos, e que ajudaram a implantar na Américaaçucareira portuguesa, observamos também textos normativos jesuítas, desde os escritos de Loyola,a partir das reflexões teóricas de José António Maravall e Fernando de La Flor.Palavras-Chave: Nóbrega; Barroco; PernambucoDownloads
