TENSÕES E CONFLITOS NA CONSOLIDAÇÃO DA REPÚBLICA EM PERNAMBUCO: A REVOLTA DE TRIUNFO

O enfoque principal é a luta pelo poder travada entre o Governador do Estado, Capitão José Alexandre Barbosa Lima e os Republicanos Históricos que pretendiam montar uma máquina político-administrativa que lhes garantisse o controle sobre o estado. Com base em fontes referentes ao chamado “Movimento Patriótico de Triunfo, no sertão do Pajeú, o artigo evidencia a participação da sociedade do sertão pernambucano nas tramas políticas que caracterizaram Pernambuco na primeira década da República.
