A MICROANÁLISE COMO SUPORTE TEÓRICO-METODOLÓGICO PARA O ESTUDO DO SISTEMA ESCRAVISTA BRASILEIRO A PARTIR DA RECONSTITUIÇÃO DE TRAJETÓRIAS DE ESCRAVOS (ALEGRETE, SÉCULO XIX)

O objetivo do presente artigo é discutir algumas das possibilidades que o aporte teórico-metodológico da micro-história italiana fornece aos pesquisadores da escravidão no Brasil. Para isto, selecionamos algumas trajetórias que puderam ser mais bem documentadas, tendo como foco dessa experimentação o município de Alegrete. Apesar de ser um artigo essencialmente teórico, decidimos por relacionar metodologia, teoria e pesquisa empírica para que a análise ganhasse contornos mais concretos. Neste sentido, podemos apontar que ferramentas como o a diminuição da escala de análise e a busca pelo nome de um mesmo indivíduo em diferentes fontes, além de revelar estruturas sociais diferentes e imperceptíveis a um estudo macro, também têm implicações teóricas para o entendimento do processo escravista como um todo.
