DO SUBLIMINAR À SUB-RECEPÇÃO: A CONSTRUÇÃO DA RESISTÊNCIA INDÍGENA NO NORDESTE DO BRASIL COLONIAL.
Abstract
Este artigo é um fragmento dos resultados da pesquisa intitulada A História Invisível da Resistência Indígena que investiga as formas não armadas da resistência desses povos frente às práticas do projeto colonial no Brasil. Partindo da idéia, defendida por Héctor Bruit, de que as populações indígenas da América hispânica desenvolveram, no século XVI, mecanismos "invisíveis" de resistência que interferiram no desenvolvimento do projeto colonial espanhol, identificamos o mesmo fenômeno na América portuguesa, desde o século XVII até o século XIX. Considerando que certos comportamentos indígenas, como a bebedeira, foram utilizados com o fim de burlar a ordem vigente, identificamos no processo de construção dessa resistência a transformação de ações que, inicialmente, eram subconscientes em ações sub-reptícias.Downloads
