O DESVELAR DO OCULTO EM BENJAMIN LEE WHORF: PROBLEMAS EPISTEMOLÓGICOS.
Abstract
Este artigo trata de uma apreciação que o autor faz acerca da "afirmação whorfiana" sobre o relacionamento ou relacionamentos existentes entre processos cognoscitivos e realidades específicas. Segundo o autor do artigo, Roberto Amorim, este trabalho é uma tentativa de estudar epistemologicamente estas "possibilidades cognoscitivas" do nosso pensar e suas relações com a cultura, a civilização e a época. O problema exposto por Benjamin Lee Whorf levou o autor, na seqüência, a admitir o "princípio do desvelar do oculto": todos os observadores não possuem a mesma imagem do universo a não ser que a maneira de se relacionarem com o mesmo seja idêntica. Portanto, esta abordagem se coloca além das fronteiras da antropologia cultural e da lingüística e se dirige ao ponto principal: os fundamentos do nosso conhecimento.Downloads
