Abstract
Nos anos 1950, o Recife vê emergir uma série de características que darão a tônica de seu desenvolvimento nos anos e décadas subseqüentes. Sob os mais diversos aspectos, esse é um ponto de vista assente e sobre o qual não recaem muitos questionamentos. O que este artigo procura oferecer é uma contribuição, a fim de que melhor se dimensionem algumas das transformações que se estavam operando, bem como, quem sabe, o alcance das mesmas. O foco da atenção está na cidade - seu cotidiano, seus usos — e as mudanças de cunho modernizante pelas qua;s passa.Downloads
