O artigo analisa a montagem da estrutura policial brasileira na primeira década do Segundo Reinado, a partir da teia de controle social que o Delegado Francisco Carlos Brandão elaborou, com o intuito de preservar a tranqüilidade pública e a ordem institucional no Recife do período em tela.Downloads
