Abstract
O artigo discute o significado da história do ouro na cidade de Jacobina, município da Bahia, historicizando como a imprensa e seus moradores, particularmente garimpeiros e mineiros, construíram memórias sobre o trabalho da exploração do ouro, durante o período da garimpagem na década de 1930 e, também, durante o período de mecanização da atividade mineradora, no período de 1970 até a década de 1990.Downloads
