SÍTIOS, PERNADAS, PORÇÕES E FAZENDAS: AS PROPRIEDADES RURAIS DO RECÔNCAVO SUL BAIANO NO SÉCULO XIX.
Abstract
A propriedade da terra tem-se constituído num tema bastante discutido, principalmente sob a perspectiva do latifúndio agro-exportador. Neste artigo, privilegiamos as propriedades agrárias situadas no Recôncavo Sul, especificamente no município de Santo Antônio de Jesus, durante a segunda metade do século XIX. Nesta região, predominaram as pequenas e médias propriedades rurais, caracterizadas por uma produção econômica diversificada, mediante o cultivo da cana-de-açúcar, da mandioca, do café, entre outros. Os registros eclesiásticos, os inventários e o Livro de Tabelionato de Nota da freguesia de Santo Antônio de Jesus, sob a guarda do Arquivo Público do Estado da Bahia, foram as principais fontes utilizadas na construção da análise.Downloads
