ZUMBI DOS PALMARES: UM NOVO TIRADENTES?
Abstract
No início dos anos 1970, a figura do Zumbi, chefe da "República negra de Palmares", da qual foi símbolo, começou a crescer no imaginário coletivo a tal ponto que está a caminho de integrar o panteão heróico nacional, após três séculos de esquecimento. A partir da análise das variações historiográficas sobre a personagem e do exame das modalidades de fabricação do mito tentaremos mostrar como este fenômeno diz muito a respeito dos embates sobre a memória que agitam a sociedade brasileira.Downloads
