A criação do sistema de corporacoes de ofícios marcou profundamente o sistema econômico medieval afetando principalmente os centros urbanos que surgem a partir do seculo X. Todas as lndustrias e os diversos ramos do comércio foram organizados em corporações especializadas que dirigiam, controlavam e fiscalizavam todas as atividades ligadas a produção e comportamento dos seus membros.
The creation of the system of trades corporations profoundly marked the medieval economic system, affecting mainly the urban centers that appeared from the 10th century. All the industrys and the diverse branches of the commerce were organized in specialized corporations that directed, controlled and fiscalized all the activities linked to the production and behavior of its members.
