Notas para uma tipologia de produtores rurais (Notes for a typology of farmers)

Camponês, sitiante, meeiro, parceiro, foreiro, morador, cassaco, corumba, trabalhador de cambão, trabalhador de condição, condicieiro, barraqueiro, posseiro, eiteiro, caatingueiro, agregado, bóia-fria, etc., sao expressões utilizadas no Brasil e, particularmente, em Pernambuco, para designar trabalhadores rurais; e elas sugerem ainda relações sociais de produção no meio rural brasileiro.
Peasant, besieger, sharecropper, partner, foreman, resident, casaco, corumba, cambão worker, condition worker, conditioner, barqueiro, squatter, litter, caatingueiro, household, float, etc., are expressions used in Brazil and, particularly in Pernambuco, to designate rural workers; and they also suggest social relations of production in Brazilian countryside.
