MIX OF SKILLS OF A PROFESSIONAL NURSING EMERGENCY

Objective: To identify the mix of skill of the professionals of the nursing staff in an emergency room. Methodology: descriptive quantitative study conducted with 43 nursing technicians and eight nurses of an emergency room through an interview using a questionnaire, as approved by the Ethics Committee in Research of the Beneficent Protestant Society under the protocol nº. 4303/11. Results: regarding qualification, the results showed that the team meets the legal recommendations of the profession. On the issue of training, among other findings, it was found a deficit in the approach of subjective topics such as coping with the death of patients and, with regard to supervision, the highlighted was the lack of monitoring of the nursing process, as mentioned by the technicians. Conclusion: the mix of the section needs improvement in order to achieve an optimal stage and, therefore, contribute to quality nursing assistance to their clients.Downloads
