Artificial Intelligence (AI) has played an increasingly important role in transforming society, profoundly impacting various sectors, including education. In the educational context, AI offers new possibilities for personalizing teaching and making the learning process more interactive and efficient, especially in the teaching of Geography. The use of these technologies allows not only a better understanding of geographical phenomena, but also the development of critical and analytical skills among students. However, the implementation of AI in education faces challenges, such as adapting to different forms of learning and the need for a robust technological infrastructure. The development of "Education 4.0" is one of the main approaches of the article, suggesting that AI can be fundamental in preparing students for an increasingly technological world. While recognizing the transformative potential of AI, the text emphasizes that technology should be a supporting tool and not the central focus of education. In addition, the importance of digital literacy among teachers is highlighted as essential for them to be able to integrate technologies effectively and critically. It is concluded that, despite the potential of AI, barriers still exist, such as the need for technological infrastructure and continuous training of educators. Effective integration of AI depends on policies that address these structural issues to ensure that technological innovation truly benefits the educational process.
