Abstract

O artigo foi elaborado inicialmnte, como subsídio para as discussões prelininares à elaboração do plano decenal de educação para o Estado da Bahia (1990/2000). Inicia por defender um lugar de destaque para a questão do trabaho, quando se trata do estabelecimento de políticas e metas para a educação. Comenta de modo
sintético as várias orientações que tomam a temática no país nos últimos decênios, citando os trabalhos mais relevantes que contribuiram para o aprofundamento. da produção científica nesse campo.
