Um outro sertão literário: linguajar pantaneiro e espaço nacional em Inocência de Taunay
Abstract
O presente artigo investiga os usos do linguajar sertanejo – mais especificamente pantaneiro – no romance Inocência (1872), do Visconde de Taunay. Ao explorar elementos de formação linguística documentados pelo autor, a análise revela substratos ou adstratos indígenas, ibéricos, hispanoamericanos, assim como arcaísmos e inovações. No processo, argumenta-se que enquanto a narrativa participa na construção de um imaginário espacial da nação marcado pela dicotomia interior-costa, o linguajar empregado como “nativo” dos pantaneiros revela forte influência de práticas linguísticas oriundas do litoral.References
