Narratividade e comunidade. Considerações sobre a obra de Nathaniel Hawthorne
Abstract
Apesar da grande dificuldade de se encontrar uma solução satisfatóriapara as relações entre discurso literário e realidade social, a questãosempre se apresentou como o problema mais inevitável e necessário àteoria literária. Ao refletir sobre dois textos do ficcionista americanoNathaniel Hawthorne, este ensaio revisita textos clássicos sobre o temafocalizando em como a passagem de uma comunidade fechada para umasociedade problematizadora de suas verdades faz com que a linguagem dogênero narrativo abandone sua transparência e passe a trabalhar comoconstituidora de uma realidade.References
