Abstract

The  purpose  of  this  article  is  to  bring  some  reflections  on  the  learning  of  a  5th  grade  class  of elementary school, involving geometry and its spatial representations in the plane. It was developed in an  extension  course  in  the  year  2019  in  partnership  with  the  Universidade  Cruzeiro  do Municipal Secretariat of Education of São Paulo, aiming to deepen the reflections of teachers about the City Curriculum and the curriculum materials produced by it. The research methodology used was qualitative  with  participant  observation  in  a  training  process  involving  the  Classroom  Studies  in  a collaborative perspective. Among the results found, we noticed that the teachers were able to identify their students' doubts about teaching the representation of prisms and pyramids in a plane, based on theoretical references that enabled the understanding of the doubts presented by the students about this mathematical theme.
