This article aims to reflect on education in the context of the global health crisis caused by the new Coronavirus. Thus, it seeks to highlight economic and social problems, with a geographic focus focused on Brazil, such as, for example, weaknesses in public services and social inequalities. For the contextual evaluation, the areas of Health and Education stand out from the debate, since they are social public services that, historically, have faced little priority in budget distribution, despite their importance for a contingent of the Brazilian population. Therefore, it was decided to make a brief retrospective about the health area, considering that the pandemic represents and reveals a public health problem. In this sense, this research aims to reflect on the impact of the pandemic on education in Brazil and show the importance of having a strong health system and an area of education consistent and consistent with the Brazilian social reality. Thus, a reflexive approach was used, followed by bibliographical research and consequent literature review, as well as an exploratory analysis of the selected documents. As a result, the impacts of the global health problem on education were found, the relationship between the education sector and other segments of the economy, as well as existing problems and overlapping with new challenges, notably with remote education, were evidenced.
