This research aims to analyze the presence of the theme environmental education (EA) in the Pedagogical Political Projects (PPP) of elementary schools II, in the municipality of Campo Formoso-BA, with the aim of investigating whether the Schools' PPPs address the theme of Environmental Education, from the construction of its concepts, conceptions and methodologies to the actions developed by teachers through educational praxis. This research work adopts a qualitative approach using documentary technique through the analysis of the Political Pedagogical Projects of four Schools in the Municipality of Campo Formoso/BA. The scientific method used was inductive, with the aim of identifying patterns and trends in the information collected. It was found that only one school covers the EA theme, with some projects focused on the theme, as well as references, included in this school's PPP. The other PPPs analyzed do not include a vision on environmental issues, not even as a transversal theme, as foreseen in the PCNs. To enable the implementation of Environmental Education as a transversal theme in the Pedagogical Political Project, it is necessary to open a more comprehensive and at the same time more in-depth discussion with the most diverse educational actors, being a challenge to be faced by school managers in the preparation of their Projects. Pedagogical Politicians at the school level, together with the community that assists in this process.
