Mapeamento Geomorfológico: A Carta de Energia do Relevo da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Formiga-TO

Os processos erosivos do relevo estão substancialmente relacionados com os seguintes fatores topográficos: o comprimento e a inclinação das encostas e o aprofundamento dos canais. A preocupação em solucionar problemas relacionados à erosão tem proporcionado a formulação de metodologias que explicitem o potencial natural de áreas de modo que subsidie a ocupação antrópica, gerando planos conforme as peculiaridades locais. Dentre as metodologias empregadas cita-se a confecção da carta de energia do relevo, objetivo deste trabalho, adotando como área de estudo a Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Formiga no Estado do Tocantins. Como produtos intermediários confeccionam-se cartas de dissecação vertical, horizontal e declividade. O cruzamento foi realizado através de uma programação em LEGAL no Spring/INPE, possibilitando a confecção da carta síntese de energia do relevo. Foram determinadas as seguintes classes de energia do relevo: fraca, média, medianamente forte, forte e muito forte. Na bacia a predominância é de áreas com média e fraca energia do relevo, ocupando respectivamente 48,70% e 36,88% de sua área total. Correspondem a áreas com declives planos a suave-ondulados, grande dissecação horizontal e baixa dissecação vertical. As cartas produzidas fornecem indicações sobre os resultados do movimento local das formas de relevo e devem nortear o processo de ocupação antrópica.Downloads
