A metodologia de análise da água seguiu a proposta do Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater e Resolução CONAMA (2005).

The purpose of this study is to analyze and to evaluate the water quality of Sucuri stream, located in the municipality of Caçu-Goiás. For this purpose, it was established Sucuri stream basin, which is located in the reservoir basin of Barra dos Coqueiros Hydroelectric Power Plant, which was delimited as the study area. It was determined five sampling points in the watercourse, and the collections were carried out in four different periods. The parameters that were studied are: (DBO), water temperature (T), electrical conductivity (CE), total dissolved solids (TSD), salinity (NaCl), thermotolerant coliforms (CT) and total phosphorus (P). The methodology of water analysis followed the proposal of the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater and Resolution CONAMA (2005). According to the data, the non-conformance of the water of the Sucuri stream to class 1 is affected by the CE, P and CT, being this watercourse classified as class 2 and 3. There are very strong that the correlations between the parameters TSD, CE And NaCl are related to the physical and geological characteristics of the basin and soil types.
