Feições deposicionais no médio curso do rio Jauru, Pantanal Mato-grossense

The Jauru River is one of the most important rivers in the southwestern region of the State of Mato Grosso, as it forms part of the Cáceres Pantanal. It is inserted and located in the pantanal biome, which has a great biodiversity in fauna and flora. In this sense, the study aimed to identify channel deposits in the middle course of the Jauru River, Mato Grosso. To this end, information was collected in Google Earth Pro about the bars (central and lateral) on a temporal scale between 2004 and 2022. To develop this research, consultations were carried out in books, scientific articles, among other means to bring a more comprehensive understanding. depth of the subject proposed in this research. In 2004 and 2022, the study area presented 33 and 81 channel deposits, respectively, with some bars being located downstream of the PCHs and hydroelectric plant built on the Jauru River. The river dynamics itself contributes to the appearance of these bars and associated with the types of land use, they accelerate and increase the sediment load in the channel, directly interfering with the quantity and quality of the water. The study is important for monitoring related water resources in the Pantanal, especially.
