A presente pesquisa trata sobre as questões de uso e ocupação da margem direita do rio Jauru, no bairro Beira Rio na cidade de Porto Esperidião - Mato Grosso. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados foram: o trabalho de campo para caracterização da área, identificação dos tipos de uso com registros escritos e fotográficos e a pesquisa quali-quantitativa com questionário semi-estruturado. Neste contexto, foi identificado o uso e ocupação desordenado e inadequado, o que, contribui com o aumento dos impactos ambientais no rio, tais como, retirada da vegetação, assoreamento, poluição das águas e erosão marginal. Cabe salientar que, o uso intenso e processo de ocupação, ocorrem em Área de Preservação Permanente (APP), sendo área de uso restrito.
A B S T R A C T
This research is about the issues of use and occupy of the right bank of Jauru River at Beira Rio neighborhood in Porto Esperidião - Mato Grosso. The methodological procedures used were: field work to characterize the area, identifying patterns of use with written and photographic records and qualitative and quantitative research with semi-structured questionnaire. In this context, it was identified cluttered and inadequate of the use and occupation, which contributes to increase environmental impacts on the river, such as removal of vegetation, siltation, pollution of waters and marginal erosion was identified. It is worth mentioning that the intensive processes and occupations occur in Permanent Preservation Area (APP), with a restricted use.
