Vivências celebrativas na Irmandade de Nossa Senhora do Rosário e São Benedito dos homens pretos em Desterro/SC, século XIX. // Celebration Experiences in the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Benedict of the Black Men in Desterro/SC, nineteenth century.

Abstract

No presente trabalho, pretendemos apresentar a cidade de Desterro (Santa Catarina) do século XIX percebendo a vida quotidiana de africanos(as) e afrodescendentes, principalmente atentando para a Irmandade do Rosário, a fim de entender sua estrutura de funcionamento, as atribuições da Mesa Administrativa, o comprometimento de Irmãos e Irmãs, as decisões tanto “na esfera do temporal quanto do espiritual”.Na tentativa de encontrar resquícios do passado que permita conhecer aspectos culturais destes sujeitos históricos, o foco deste artigo volta-se aos sons, performances e celebrações produzidas neste espaço de vivências africanas. 

In this work, we intend to present the city of Desterro (Santa Catarina) nineteenth century realizing africans and african descent, particularly noting the Brotherhood of the Rosary in order to understand its operating structure, the functions of the Bureau Administratively, the commitment of brothers and sisters, both decisions "in the sphere of the temporal and the spiritual." In trying to find remnants of the past to ascertain cultural aspects of these historical subjects, the focus of this article turns to sounds, performances and celebrations produced in this area of african experiences.
