El período 1966-76 supuso el auge y apogeo de las luchas de sectores populares en Argentina. El Golpe militar que derrocó al gobierno del presidente Illia impuso al General Juan Carlos Onganía como presidente de facto el 28 de junio de 1966 abrió un proceso en el que se acentuaron las contradicciones de clase. El programa económico liberal implementado por la dictadura golpeó fuertemente a los sectores obreros y a un importante sector de la clase media, sobre todo a los estudiantes universitarios que como contrapartida resistieron dichas imposiciones por medio de la lucha en unos procesos denominados AZOS y que se dieron en distintas provincias del país. El presente artículo se propone avanzar en la recuperación de la memoria obrera y estudiantil de esos años a partir de los sucesos reconocidos como los Tucumanazos, intentando desentrañar algunos aspectos de la denominada alianza obrero estudiantil.
