USO DE CALCULADORAS EN EL AULA: CREENCIAS DE ESTUDIANTES DE ENSEÑANZA SECUNDARIA

Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación es el de analizar las creencias de estudiantes de enseñanza secundaria, acerca del uso de calculadoras en el aula de matemática. Para ello se diseñó y validó un cuestionario con preguntas cerradas y abiertas, el cual se aplicó a una muestra de estudiantes de octavo y de décimo año de instituciones públicas y privadas de la educación secundaria costarricense. Entre los principales hallazgos, por lo general se cree que la calculadora es una herramienta útil, pero que puede convertirse en una amenaza si es mal utilizada, y que el profesor de matemática debería propiciar el uso de esta herramienta en el aula.
