Based on Levinas1 concept of the Other, the construction of the ethical dimension of the student of the civic-military schools will be analyzed. It is intended to reveal the existence of a point of tension between the model of military civic education and the ethical dimension present in the Law of Directives and Bases of Education (LDB). According to the military civic education program, the efficiency and quality standard in the management of military schools induces the positive results of the military civic education model. Following the logic, the transposition of the model would guarantee the qualitative advance of public education. This indicates that changing the disciplinary model in schools will guarantee quality in public education. However, this attempt to reduce the debate on education to the attitudinal component seems to be insufficient to solve its historical problems. In this sense, the research proposal is to investigate whether the specifics of military civic education can interfere in the construction of the ethical dimension of students.References
