This essay presents some considerations on the production of memory in the context of coloniality, considering the limits of the colonial archive, the possibilities for expanding this archive through acts of memory, and the relationship of education to this entire process. I consider memory a founding element of subjectivities, capable of locating and positioning subjects in relation to the world, Others, and history itself. From a reflection on representation in the curriculum, I expand the discussion presented in my dissertation, considering the themes of memory, representation, and the archive in relation to curriculum production. I present the ideas of critical fabulation and erasure as forms of resistance to colonial attempts at erasure and as paths for expanding the colonial archive, thus producing and enabling other memories. This expansion of the archive directly impacts the possibilities of representation, which is fundamental to curriculum production.
