Abstract

 

RESUMO: Partindo de leitura atenta do ensaio “Nacional por subtração”, do crítico Roberto Schwarz, este artigo analisa a permanência da marca cultural do característico sinal de menos, exposto no ensaio do crítico, na produção de escritores e intelectuais brasileiros. A análise destaca como a cultura do nacionalismo literário, a partir do ajustamento cultural e intelectual, é base determinante para os intelectuais brasileiros pensarem os problemas de produção cultural no Brasil, cientes de que estão por trás de um problema de deficiência material, institucional e cultural.
