This article presents the results of the work developed from the general objective, which consisted of “Elaborating a didactic booklet, based on everyday situations, with the purpose ofmaking it a Financial Education tool”. The specific objectives were: To stimulate the participation of the school community through awareness about domestic financial health; Identify the weaknesses within the financial context about the common actions ofstudents and their families; Understand about the good use of money within what is limited to the family's income; Reflect on the notion of "necessity versus superfluous" in the face of impulse buying; Debate on consumerism in today's society in the face of the capitalist production system; Promote reflection on the indebtedness of Brazilian families; Analyze aspects related to the economic crisis in the face of the global and local economy. If we take into account the access to information that our students have in relation to Financial Education, we can see how fragile the notion of Financial Education they have. The need for this work came in the sense of improving students' conceptions about personal finances. The actions obtained excellent results, with students looking for more information and getting more and more inside the theme
