O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o comportamento das condições hídricas em decorrência do aquecimento global, analisando a disponibilidade hídrica futura do município de Picuí. Para averiguar o comportamento hídrico efetuou-se o cálculo do Balanço Hídrico Climatológico segundo o método de Thornthwaite e Mather utilizando-se da série de precipitação dos anos de 1910 a 2005, coletado pela SUDENE e pela EMATER-PB e de dados de temperatura estimados pelo software Estima-T. Os resultados foram aplicados para as condições médias e em seguida usou-se os cenários de precipitação mensal (descimento de 10,0% e 20,0%) e de temperatura (acréscimo de 1,0ºC e 4,0ºC) do IV Relatório de Avaliação do Painel Intergovernamental de Mudanças Climáticas (IPCC AR4), para os cenários extremos de emissão de CO2, otimista e pessimista, concomitantemente. Observou-se através do balanço hídrico que em condições médias ocorre deficiência hídrica em todos os meses para os casos do balanço hídrico climatológico e para as simulações de reduções de 10 e 20%. Os resultados obtidos tanto para o cenário otimista, quanto o pessimista, indicam situação crítica das condições do solo tanto nos recursos hídricos quanto para a prática de culturas de sequeiro. Os índices pluviométricos não serão suficientes para vários tipos de culturas, analisando pela vertente do cenário pessimista. Que a condição para o armazenamento de água das chuvas fica crítica para o consumo humano e animal.

Climatic Water Balance, as a Result of Global Warming, in the City of Picuí - Paraíba Semiarid
ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to evaluate the behavior of water conditions due to global warming, analyzing the future water availability in the city of Picuí. To investigate the water behavior is made in calculating the climatic water balance according to Thornthwaite & Mather method using a series of precipitation from year 1910 to 2005, collected by SUDENE and EMATER-PB and temperature data estimated by Estimated-T software. The results were used for conditions in medium and then used to precipitation of the sets (decrease of 10.0% and 20.0%) and temperature (increased by 1.0 ° C and 4.0 ° C) fourth Report the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC AR4), extreme scenarios for CO2 emissions, optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. It was observed through the water balance that under average water deficiency occurs in all months for cases and the climatic water balance simulations for reductions of 10 and 20%. The results for both the optimistic scenario, the pessimistic, indicating the critical situation of soil conditions in both water resources and for the practice of rainfed crops. The rainfall will not be sufficient for many types of cultures, analyzing the slope of the pessimistic scenario. That the condition for the storage of rainwater is critical for human and animal consumption.
